Kistamässan renew our SUSA Certification – A long-term commitment to sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of our operations, and we are proud to once again have our SUSA certification renewed. Year after year, this certification affirms our commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices, and we continue to enhance our venues to reduce our environmental impact.

What does the SUSA certification mean?

The SUSA certification is awarded according to the Swedish environmental-based management system standard and serves as proof that we operate Kistamässan and Malmömässan with a strong focus on sustainability. The certification is regularly renewed, ensuring that we continuously evaluate and improve our processes to meet high environmental standards.

Sustainability measures we continue to develop

For many years, we have implemented a range of initiatives to ensure our venues are as sustainable as possible. Some of the ongoing measures include:
  • 100% Green Energy – Our venues are powered entirely by renewable energy, helping us reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to more sustainable energy use.
  • Sustainable Catering – We have long removed red meat from our menus at Easyfairs events and continue to develop our food options with sustainability in mind, reducing both emissions and resource consumption.
  • Reusable Carpets – By using reusable carpets instead of single-use materials, we minimize waste at our events and contribute to a more circular resource flow.

Ongoing efforts for a sustainable future

Having our SUSA certification renewed multiple times is a confirmation of our long-term commitment to making our fairs and events more sustainable. But for us, it’s not just about meeting requirements – we see it as a natural part of our operations to continuously find new ways to reduce our impact and inspire others in the industry to do the same.

At Kistamässan sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s part of our identity. We look forward to continuing to create meeting places where both people and the environment are at the forefront.
