easyfairs has published a new
sustainability report for 2025

Easyfairs 2025 Sustainability Report shows that our Nordic operations – which include Kistamässan, Malmömässan and Nordic Expo Service – are contributing to this positive trend. With 100% renewable and fossil-free energy and a strong focus on reusable materials, we continue to contribute to the transition towards more sustainable events.

The Nordic region as a role model
In the Nordic region, society has long been committed to sustainable development – something that also shapes how we run our events. The Nordic results in Easyfairs’ 2025 Sustainability Report show, among other things, that we:

  • Continue to use 100% renewable and fossil-free energy at our Kistamässan and Malmömässan venues
  • Have replaced traditional disposable wall-to-wall carpets so that 88% of Easyfairs’ events now use reusable or recyclable carpets
  • Ensure that 98% of events promote public transport, making it easier for visitors to travel more sustainably

Circular stands and materials – with Nordic Expo Service
A key part of the Nordic development is how we build our event environments. Together with Nordic Expo Service (NES), we are working on:

  • 100% reusable materials in stands, meaning the same solutions can be used time and time again
  • Carpets and flooring solutions that are reusable or recyclable, rather than single-use alternatives

This is clearly evident at some of our events, such as SETT, Ekonomi & Företag and Personal & Chef, where sustainability is an increasingly important part of both content and execution.

Structured sustainability work in accordance with SUSA and Svensk Miljöbas
Kistamässan’s environmental work forms part of Easyfairs’ facilities and follows SUSA, which is implemented in accordance with Svensk Miljöbas. This means that our work on energy, waste, procurement and transport takes place within a clear, systematic framework that requires monitoring and improvement.

This structure is a fundamental prerequisite for us to demonstrate such high levels of renewable energy, sorting and reuse in this year’s report. But the work continues.
